"Trust the Awesomeness"

2018 Quilt Con Entry - Non Contender

This Quilt was inspired by Craig Alanson’s Zero Hour (Expeditionary Force Book 5) in which the cantankerous AI “Skippy” processed to Flatten an Elder Worm Hole. This is my Quilted version of how I thought this would look like.

This quilt contains the MQG Hash Dot Fabric Challenge Michael Miller Fabrics: Hash Dot in Ebony, Hash Dot in Grass, Hash Dot in Marine, and Cotton Couture in Peach, Light Blue, Royal Blue, Navy, and Black.

Construction of the Quilt was created using various research on scientific renderings of wormholes, and inputting this into Autocadd to Create my Paper pieced Template.

Quilting took place on my Baby Lock Jazz utilizing a walking foot to create depth in a two-dimensional image.

This quilt was not selected for the 2018 Quilt Con Juried display, but it just makes me work that much harder to get into the next one!

Concept Rendering

This is my rendering made in AutoCadd that also doubled as my Paper pieced Template

Some of the Challenge Fabrics are in Tiny Location.

The Warp Lines

The Quilt in all its Glory

I am ecstatic that this quilt came out, just like the rendering.
